Feature Description

This feature is only available with a subscription, this gives you the ability to see all photos and videos on the map that have been uploaded (see here for that feature). Uploads will stay visable on the map for 24 hours after they have been accepted by a moderator.

Everyone is welcome to upload, with or without a subscription! To view all uploads you will need a subscription.

Share Weather Photos & Videos like Never Before

As simple as being as close to where you took the photos as possible then uploading. We pull the location of where you upload the photos and videos.

  1. Write a brief description that others can read (please keep it appropriate).
  2. Display name will be the name that shows up on the location marker (please keep it appropriate). This can be your name, or nickname, or business name.
  3. Legal first name (not publicly shared).
  4. Legal last name (not publicly shared).
  5. Your email address incase we need to reach you (not publicly shared).
  6. Best phone number incase we really need to reach out to you (not publicly shared).
  7. And lastly accept the terms and conditions.
  8. When you hit post it can seem like you press it and nothing happens, it take a moment or two depending on the files and your connection. It will show you that it was successful in green if it works.

Our goal for this feature was to create a new way for people and businesses to see photos and videos of weather events happening, being able to see them on a map to really understand the storm and the path.

This feature we see helping not just weather enthusiasts but also the National Weather Service, and other agencies. We see time and time again when people post and tag a NWS office on X (Twitter), and they ask where was this taken and they never really get a good idea where it was. They ask this to help them build a layout of where the storm was and the damage that happened along the way. This is to get a better idea of how long the storm lasted, how wide it was, and how fast it was moving. 

With uploading your photos and videos to our weather map everyone can see about where you were when you took it which will make it easier to see the weather events. We truly believe this will change the way of mapping out weather events.

This can even help agencies that are there to respond to damaging weather events to help those that have been affected. They can take a look at the damage of the photos and videos and get a better idea of what they will need and how much they will need.
